Job Description

The Abramson Center currently has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Senior Director of Finance.

The Senior Director is primarily responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the Center in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the long-term care industry and for non-profit organizations.

The Senior Director will also be a part of the leadership team and will report directly to the CFO. The Senior Director will provide daily leadership, management, and support to the Center’s Finance Department.

Additionally, this position will be responsible for the following:

    • Developing proformas and other financial analyses that contribute towards the Center’s market growth, revenue enhancement, cost containment, and optimum productivity within the Center’s mission, values, and financial objectives.
    • Serve as a Finance Department liaison to service line leaders with goal of improving financial monitoring of revenue and expense variances.  
    • Preparing and analyzing the financial/analytical data submitted by departments and present an appropriate and complete summary to the Board of Directors, President/CEO, COO and CFO.
    • Preparing applicable materials for Board Committee meetings such as Finance and Insurance, Audit, Conflict of Interest and Investment.
    • Guiding and supervising the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly internal and external reports and analyses as directed, interprets the financial results and identifies areas of focus for revenue growth and cost containment.

Job Requirements

Minimum Experience: 7+ years of experience in accounting, of which 3 years are in a supervisory or managerial position.

 Preferred Experience: 3+ years of financial experience in a health care and/or public accounting environment performing audits or consulting with health care clients.  Experience with process re-design and/or the automation of manual processes is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains accounting system a plus.

 Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

 Licensure/Certification: Current certification by the State Board of Certified Public Accountants (CPA) preferred.
