Unit Coordinator - Wynnewood, PA

Exciting Full-Time Unit Coordinator opportunity available at the Abramson Center’s Transitional Care Center (TCC) located on the campus of Lankenau Hospital in beautiful Wynnewood, PA.  Unit Coordinators must be professional, dynamic, detail-oriented with excellent customer-service skills.  Unit Coordinators are responsible for answering the telephone, staffing/scheduling coordination, ordering/managing supplies and medical equipment, scanning paper documentation in to medical record as needed, organizing and maintaining a professional looking unit and act as a liaison between patients, families, visitors, volunteers and staff.

  • Provides administrative support to facility management and staff.
  • Provides quality customer service to patients, families, volunteers, visitors and other staff using good interpersonal skills and problem-solving techniques.
  • Meets and greets patient families, volunteers and visitors to the unit, orients them to the unit and assists them as appropriate.
  • Organizes and prioritizes tasks during the shift in collaboration with the nurse manager.
  • Responsible for staffing and scheduling clinical staff utilizing OnShift and other staffing tools available
  • Updates clinical staff attendance tracking processes with call offs and PTO schedules as necessary
  • Manages facility medical/office supply ordering and supply room inventory.

The Abramson Transitional Care Center is an exciting new launch located on the Lankenau Hospital campus in Wynnewood, PA.  Our expert Transitional Care team has built a solid reputation for passion, quality and excellence. The TCC is currently licensed for 22 sub-acute beds with plans to expand the number of beds within the next 2 years!

Job Requirements


Minimum Experience: 5 years of healthcare experience preferred as a medical secretary with medical records experience. Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills in person and via telephone and intercom. Professional, positive attitude and representation. Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure. Must relate and work well with the elderly, the ill, persons with disabilities, and their families.

Minimum Education: LPN or Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
