Job Description

Abramson Senior Care is seeking an energetic Hospice Volunteer Coordinator for our growing Hospice & Palliative department located in North Wales, PA.

The Volunteer Coordinator would be responsible for the continued development and administration of the Hospice volunteer program. Marketing initiatives include campus recruitment, relationship building, and building lasting partnerships with volunteers throughout Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia, and Delaware counties.

The Volunteer Coordinator will:

- Act as the brand ambassador, educating and enrolling volunteers to join Hospice volunteer initiatives.

-Develop and implement programs for the recruitment and retention of Hospice volunteers.

- Utilize creative and innovative tactics to engage new volunteers.

- Retain volunteers through the coordinator of volunteer appreciation events. 

- Increasing brand awareness through community engagement.

- Coordinate volunteer assignments with clients and families.

-Prepare reports for Hospice Administrator as requested.

-Educate the community about all aspects of volunteerism, particularly as it relates to hospice.

-Effectively assess quality and quantity of services provided to the community by volunteers.

Job Requirements

High school Diploma or Equivalent required. Bachelors Degree in Communications or Marketing preferred.

At least 1 year of recruitment or sales experience preferred, demonstrated ability to execute a supportive approach to volunteer and client/family needs. Excellent organization and communications skills (both written and oral). Ability to work well with interdisciplinary teams, and demonstrated experience in supervision.
